Itinerary – January 2019

  • Friday, January 11th, 2019: Departure from your country.
  • Saturday, January 12th, 2019: Arrival to International Entebbe Airport. Meeting at the meeting point with all travellers. Currency exchange and phone card purchase. Private bus to Fort Portal for lunch. Continue trip to Kimya. Unpacking of bicycles and sorting out accommodations. Dinner and overnigh at ‘Kelele Lodge’.
  • Sunday, January 13th, 2019: Bike tour to Rwaihamba. Visit the village and surroundings, in order to know the local culture and interact with the locals. Presentation of Kelele Africa’s projects. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and accommodation at ‘Kelele Lodge’.
  • Monday, January 14th, 2019: Bike tour around the crater lakes. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and accommodation at ‘Kelele Lodge’.
  • Tuesday, January 15th, 2019: Breakfast at ‘Kelele Lodge’ and private bus trip to Queen Elisabeth National Park and the Katwe Salt Lake where we will see elephants, hippos, buffalos, flamingos, etc. Lunch in Tembo. Boat route on Kasinga Channel. Dinner in Tembo and accommodation in UWA Lower Cottages.
  • Wednesday, January 16th, 2019: Breakfast in Tembo. Bike route through the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Private bus trip to Kasese and visit the city. Lunch, dinner and accommodation in Kasese.
  • Thursday, Januay 17th, 2019: Breakfast in Kasese. Bike route or walk around the Rwenzory National Park. After lunch back to Kimya in a private bus. Leisure time at the swimming pool of Papaya Lodge. Dinner and overnight at the ‘Kelele Lodge’.
  • Friday, January 18th, 2019: Breakfast in ‘Kelele Lodge’. Bike route to the Kelele Africa clinic and the Kibale area. Lunch at ‘Kelele Lodge’. African dance workshop and dinner farewell party. Accommodation at ‘Kelele Lodge’.
  • Saturday, January 19th, 2019: Breakfast at ‘Kelele Lodge’ and private bus trip back to Kampala. Walk around the city, visit local markets and dinner before leaving for the airport. Departure to your country.
  • Sunday, January 20th, 2019: Arrival in your country.
